Located in front of the "Centre Universitaire Méditerrannéen" - Universitary mediterraneen center - 65 Promenade des Anglais, this memorial is a testimony to the large community of French of all religions (black fee - pieds noirs- and Harkis) who had to flee Northern Africa, especially Algeria after these countries became independant, and who found a refuge in Nice.
