Nice offers a large choice of accomodation. You can make your choice and book your room in Nice, or at least get an idea of the prices using the search below. You will find on this reservation site customers comments to help you make your mind.

To describe in a few words the situation of the hotels, we can say that the most luxurious ones are located along the Promenade des Anglais and the Promenade du Paillon. The most famous one, the Negresco, a more than a century old palace whose dome is one of the city's landmarks and the restaurant (the Chantecler) rates 2 stars in the Michelin guide, is located on the Promenade des Anglais. The area West of Jean medecin street and South of the SNCF station has lots of more affordable hotels. But these are general tendencies only, with exceptions in both ways.

Since we live in Nice we don't have many opportunities to test ourselves the accomodations available in our city. However we can give you advice, especially based on the location of the accomodation you might be looking for.

Search by location

Depending on the reasons of your staying in Nice, you may want to stay close to some places. Click on the links below (the places) to find hotels selected according to their locations. 

• Hotels near the Acropolis, i.e. the congress center and the exhibition center.
  There are two hotels which are literally sticked to the exhibition center, the Novotel(****) and the NH(****). The two of them are less than 5 mn walk from the congress center. The NH is in front of a streetcar halt, in the square on the opposite side of the street. The Novotel is barely 100m further from this halt. The whole area is serviced by numerous bus lines. A large parking (with fees) is located less than 100m from the NH, just in front of the Novotel, in the Jean Bouin sport center where you'll find an olympic pool and an ice rink.
  An hotel named l'Adagio is just in front of the Acropolis congress center main entrance. 300m further, a Campanile(***). Street car in the street behind the block.

• Hotels near the airport and the Arénas business center.
  There is no hotel within the airport limits. But the airport being in town, there are several of them in the vicinity. For exemple, a Novotel(****), a Campanile(***) and an Ibis(**) are located in the Arenas , 5 mn (walking) from the Terminal 1 (10mn to the Novotel). A bus shuttle halt is even closer to go to Terminal 2. A little further on the Promenade des Anglais, (10mn walking), just after the Pheonix park and the Edhec business school, a Première classe(*) , less luxurious but supposedly less expensive too. There are many others, you to choose.
  As for the stadium (see below), be careful because for some hotels located in St Laurent du Var, the indicated distances are calculated as the crows fly. But you'll have to cross the Var river using bridges and the actual distance can be more than indicated, making the hop longer, especially if you walk.

• Hotels near the science University

• Hotels near the central SNCF train station "Nice Ville"

• Hotels near the National Nice Theater and the Museum of Modern Art (MAMAC)
  A Campanile(***) hotel is located 2mn (walk) from the theater and the MAMAC. But there are others.

• Hotels near the stadium (Allianz Riviera).
  Beware. In the hotels selection you'll find rooms in St Laurent du Var. They may be very close from the stadium as the crows fly. But St Laurent is on the opposite side of the Var River and you may have to detour a lot to go to the stadium. The road bridges are located on the river mouth. The bridge in front of the stadium is the freeway's one and you can't go to St Laurent using it. Pay attention to the maps and choose accordingly.

• Hotels close to the sea (Promenade des anglais)
  First, the most famous of all, directly on the Promenade and facing the sea, the Negresco with its Michelin 2 stars restaurant. The Méridien, 1 Promenade des Anglais is very close to the center. Also on the Promenade are the Royal hotel, the West End, the Westminster... The Radisson is more West, but also facing the sea. There are others, among which a Campanile, an Ibis and a Première classe . They are also located on the Promenade but on its Western end, facing the airport, not directly the sea.
  There are other hotels with no view on the sea, often less expensive, which will suit you perfectly if you want to be able to go to the beach walking. You to choose.

• Hotels in the city center (rue J. Médecin)

• Hotels near the harbour, the wharf to Corsica

• Hotels near the old town, the city hall, the courthall, the Opera

Please note that these hotels are selected because of their locations. It's up to you to choose according to your own criterias and the customers opinions you'll find for each of them. Plans show you where they are to help you. The distances are calculated as crows fly and remember that actual distances may be longer, especially near rivers and hills.
