On vacation you can't always eat in restaurants. There are a lot of little grocery shops in your area which you'll quickly spot. But here are a few information about hyper or supermarkets and shopping malls where you'll find grocery and also what you may need during your stay here.
Zoom in on the map towards the area you're interested in. But we don't know how Google chooses the results it displays here.
Here are therefore a few more information.
The largest shopping centers in Nice are located out of the city and you'll need a car to go there.
- Lingostière is along the "202", the road going up the Var river on its left bank. It's the largest shopping center in Nice. You see it on the map with the name "Carrefour". Here you'll find a huge carrefour hypermarket, a Decathlon (selling sports items), a Darty (selling electronic products), a Toys R us (seeling toys and games), movie theaters...
- St Isidore. On the same road but closer from Nice, this shopping center houses a Leclerc hypermarket, a little smaller than the Lingostiere Carrefour.
- La Trinité. In this city in the neighbourhood of Nice, located on the Paillon river banks North East of Nice there is an other shopping center with a large Auchan hypermarket. Next to it is an other sport shop Decathlon.
In town there are supermarkets. The two largest are a Leclerc supermarket in font of the "Pont Michel" streetcar stop and a Carrefour in the shopping mall TNL, boulevard Delfino (streetcar stop "Palais des Expositions - Exhibition center).
Casino has a supermarket on the left bank of the Paillon river, 500m upstream from the exhibition center. You will find a Lidl at the Eastern end of the "Voie rapide" (Mathis urban freeway), on the ground floor of a red building, just right when you exit the "Voie rapide". All these supermarkets but the Leclerc are within 5mn walk from the Exhibition center - Palais des expositions - streetcar stop.
In Nice North there is a Casino supermarket Fontaine du Temple square and a Carrefour Market avenue Gorbella.
Near the touristic attractions:
In Cimiez, 100m away from the Arena in the Flirey avenue is a Monoprix. There is an other one 42 Jean Médecin street, not far from the FNAC. The Nice Etoile shopping mall which is also located J. Médecin street houses no grocery shop. Inside ayou'll find clothing and shoe stores...
An other Monoprix is Garibaldi square under the archway, on the Western side, (the Theater one).
Boulevard Gambetta, not far from the Sea, a Casino and a Intermarché supermarkets.
In the Western end of the Promenade des Anglais, un Casino supermarket. (The adress is 2 rue Cassin street but actually the entrance is on the Promenade)
These are the main ones. (We may have forgotten a few others, though.) Besides, there are a lot of retailers and smaller groceries which you probably already have discovered.
