Since 2017, it's been possible to rent electrical scooters in Nice. You sign up, then book a scooter with a cell phone app and fetch it. When you're at your destination, you simply leave the scooter in an authorized area. You don't have to worry about reloading it, meaning that you don't have to find a terminal to plug it. The helmet is provided, if you don't have one.
No subscription fee. You pay by the minute (22 to 29 cts in 2019.) More expensive than the bus, but faster.
These scooters are quite successful in Nice and you will see them everywhere now. We have not tried them yet and cannot give you a direct opinion. Contact us if you have one.
