If you're looking for an off the beaten track village, then Peillon is for you. Located at the edge of a cliff, more than 300m above the valley, in a very scenic landscape, the village is now almost deserted. It looks like it was in the Middle Age when it was built. It's a time travel as well. The drawback is that the road is a dead end and you may find it difficult to have a drink there.
